Sika KABORE     ( First Lady of Burkina-Faso)

After her master's degree in private law, business law option at the University of Lomé (Togo) in 1979, Ms. KABORE A. Sika continued her graduate studies in business administration at the University of Dijon in France.

After some work experiences in the private sector, she joined the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Burkina Faso in 1985 where she held the positions of legal studies officer, head of legal and international relations services, director of vocational training and technical adviser to the general manager among others.

Since 2006, she has created and runs a preventive health support foundation called KIMI. KIMI works in the areas of prevention and control of female cancers, elimination of trachoma and diarrhea, as well as the control of sickle cell anemia.

In May 2017, Her Excellency Madame KABORE A. Sika was appointed Goodwill Ambassador of the Inter-African Committee on Traditional Practices Affecting the Health of Women and Children (CI-AF).

Due to her activities in favor of women's and children's health, Ms. Sika Kaboré has received several honorary distinctions; the most recent, received on February 5, 2019, was awarded during the 1st OIC Cultural Festival, in recognition of its efforts in service of the objectives of the OIC.

Ms. Sika Kaboré is the first woman to receive this distinction.
