Appiah Ruth Pokuah

Ruth is a 23year old final medical student of the University of Ghana Medical School (UGMS) with a keen interest in leadership and youth engagement. She has, for four years, volunteered for various health and social impact projects with the Standing Committee on Human Rights and Peace (SCORP) and the Standing Committee on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights including HIV and AIDS (SCORA), both of the Federation of Ghana Medical Students Association (FGMSA). Ruth loves public speaking and connecting with people. She hopes to work with UN Women someday and believes that once given an enabling environment, young people can do whatever they set their minds to.
