miss Ruth Abedu is a Ghanaian, a field officer at PPAG, working on the PPAG-UNFPA supported Ending Child Marriage in Ghana project in Cape Coast. A women empowerment activist.

In response to the covid 19 pandemic, miss Ruth through the help of the PPAG-UNFPA project, adapted a strategy of visiting the information centres in the communities to sensitive them on the covid 19 protocols as well as issues in relation to the welfare of the young people most especially the young girls in the communities.

Miss Ruth’s personal inspiration is to see every young female empowered in the Ghanaian society by having the power to decide and make the right choices and also be heard by all in the society without restrictions.
